I have a theory thats so outlandish it might just be up your alley..... What if pop culture zombies are cursed from saying or refering to themselves as zombies? Notice how zombie movies who often use the word "zombie" loosely dont do so good or get a lot of hate by audiences? The thing that further supports the bikini atoll theory is the big explosion cutscene seen in some episodes (the realistic looking cutscene that appears in some episodes) looks an awful lot like footage of one of these nuclear tests. We do see other cities in the spongebob universe, like rock bottom and new kelp city. The theory can still hold true because, well, radioactive fallout can spread and settle to lower levels of the sea (such as rock bottom) because currents and gravity exist. The nuclear theory could still be true, what if prehistoric times for their small undersea world were only 80 years ago for us. Most sea life don't have human length lifespans. The 1940s for us could be like millions of years ago for them and the radiation could also make them evolve much faster than things on the surface unaffected by nuclear fallout do.

I’m terrorized from my childhood

The crazy thing is a lot of your theories can tie in with each other and even tie in with the nuclear test site theory. Early atomic bombs were large and round, what if the founder of the cult saw a nuclear bomb high up in the water and it looked vaguely peanut shaped before exploding tremendously, giving off a brilliant white flash of light that could easily be mistaken for some kind of divine light. Bikini bottom is a much darker place than we all thought. I think the nuclear test site theory is where it all starts. The bombs are dropped, radiation settles onto the seabed of bikini bottom (located in notorious nuclear test site bikini atoll), the fish mutate into hyper intelligent versions of themselves and form a civilization. Surface world notices and starts taking an interest in it. Clearly there's good money to be made from whatever's going on down there. Squilliam becomes rich by stumbling across exotic radioactive material, selling it on the black market, explaining how he became rich. Sandy drops in to spy, also being a mutant possibly from a different nuclear test or just straight up human experimentation. Goober cult sees a vaguely peanut shaped object burst in the sky into a brialliant light, believing it is some sacred peanut alien entity. Hell, I'll have to watch all your other theories but so far this is all shockingly tying in perfectly.

Monster’s Inc. came out in 2001 and Toy Story 3 came out in 2010. Therefore, the big Rex couldn’t have been in Toy Story 3 first and then tried out for Monsters Inc. More likely, they made the giant Rex copy with a flagrant disregard for what his purpose would be and then didn’t know what to do with him. Perhaps they thought he would work well in the Monsters Inc. universe, but he just felt too out of place, being a toy and all. So in order to try justify their actions and, perhaps out of pity, they put him in the beginning fantasy of Toy Story 3. But, after his 15 minutes of fame, there was just no more used for him so he’s been cast aside entirely since then. Sad, really.
